Job SummaryThe senior system architect provides leadership, analysis and design related to the development of technology solutions, products and systems by a team to ensure that those solutions meet business needs and align with architectural standards. Typically, they have scope of responsibility over multiple related solutions, products and systems and/or complex major systems. They collaborate with the agile product management team, project management, and/or other leadership for one or more teams to guide the evolution of the technical solution. They coach and guide teams to shape the technical direction for solutions, products and systems. They collaborate with domain and enterprise architecture to assure that the solutions they have responsibility for are aligned with broader architectural direction. They utilize critical thinking, analysis, communication and influence skills to develop and ensure solution architectures are in alignment with business goals and enterprise architecture. In addition to their system architect responsibilities, they will engage with and may significantly contribute to domain and enterprise architecture and the architecture community of practice.Essential FunctionsServe as a primary technology leader and subject matter expert for one or more systems or agile release trains. Typically, they have scope of responsibility over multiple related solutions, products and systems and/or complex major systems. They may span multiple agile release trains to guide the technology decisions for a shared system. Defines and communicates a shared technical and architectural vision for a system or an agile release train to help ensure the system or solution is technically fit for its intended purpose. Participates (often in a leading role) in agile ceremonies include Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Inspect and Adapt events. Works with agile product management, project management, stakeholders, internal customers, and/or other team members to align the architectural direction for the solution and assure high quality and continuous delivery. Defines and facilitates delivery of nonfunctional requirements and enabler features for agile release train(s) to assure the integrity of the solution(s) and technical systems Works with teams to analyze technical trade-offs, resolve problems, determine components and subsystems, identify interfaces, and support other technical design activities Assures the technical lifecycle needs (e.g., upgrades, security patches, etc.) of a solution or system are being incorporated into the team backlog and system design. Supports product managers in end of life product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire products, services or systems. Guides management and product management on the cost, performance monitoring, skillset and operational support aspects of technical solutions they are responsible for. Develops and advocates for the architecture roadmap to evolve the solution. Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Leads and participates in exploration activities to prototype new technical capabilities for the assigned system(s) and solution(s). Collaborates with domain and enterprise architecture to assure that the solutions delivered are aligned to a shared technical direction. Participates in the architecture community of practice. In addition to their system architect responsibilities, they will engage with and may significantly contribute to domain and enterprise architecture and the architecture community of practice. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Preferred Master's Degree or equivalent 10 years of relevant experience Required Prior architecture experience Preferred Software, system or technology engineering experience at highest level of proficiency Preferred Architecture patterns and standards development experience Preferred Systems development lifecycle and technology implementation experience Preferred Development of technical portfolios, roadmaps, frameworks and controls experience Preferred Prior healthcare provider or payer experience Preferred
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Data Science & Machine Learning, Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
