Job Description Job SummaryPrepares, researches, and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.Essential FunctionsPerforms statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data from various accounting and information systems to prepare financial statements and /or variance analysis. Analyzes financial data and extracts, defines, and interprets for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project financial probability. Prepares financial statements for management's use as well as for forecasting, trending, and results analysis. Actively participates in month end close process as well as any quarterly requirements. Collects and analyzes financial information to determine costs of business activities to project budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures. Where appropriate, makes recommendations for change in practice based on review, analysis, and interpretation of financial and statistical data. Serves as a consultant to departments to oversee the detailed planning process, ensuring that the results support the five year plan and the goals and objectives of SHH. Prepares variance analysis and investigates reasons for major variances, develops and presents potential solutions. Provides guidance on business issues including financial analysis, profitability analysis, and outside business ventures. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Ensures that capital requests are properly supported by pro forma and are accurately input into capital scoring system. Leads the collection of data, review of reporting and development of opportunities related to operational benchmarking. Prepares financial information as assigned by manager for purposes of the annual audit as well as information requested by the System Tax Department for the preparation of Form 990 (Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax). Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, business administration, health care administration, mathematics, economics, statistics or related field Preferred Master's Degree business, finance, project management, MBA, MHA, COA or related field 5 years of relevant experience finance or accounting role preferably in a health care setting, understanding of corporate close and financial consolidation process, working with Hyperion platform including HFM and FDM, Essbase, and planning, managed care, health care consulting, computer programing, computer applications specific to data mining, analysis, and reporting, health economics, budgeting, or related experience Required
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
