Position Summary The Senior Human Resources Manager has overall responsibility for the implementation and administration of policies and programs covering several of the following human resources functions:
employment and/or labor relations, compensation and benefits administration, orientation and training. Participates in business and strategic planning activities for the purpose of ensuring the proper utilization of human resources in achieving business goals and objectives. Provides leadership for HR departments. Provides guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to directors, managers, team leaders, teams, employee advocates, and individuals for human resource/employee relations issues. Identifies, recommends, and implements solutions for personnel problems/concerns. Essential Job Responsibilities Develops, advises, and assists managers/employees with work/non-work related issues and the interpretation and administration of company policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent treatment, company wide (including discipline and termination issues). Manages staffing activities including preparation of job postings, maintenance of requisitions, conducting internal and external searches, interviewing candidates, making hiring recommendations to managers, providing feedback to candidates, and preparation of all contracts and related paperwork. Ensures the effective development and implementation of the leadership orientation program. Knows and understands benefit plans. Understands medical, dental, life, 401(k), FSA's, WC, STD, LTD, and COBRA. Administers benefit status changes, coordinates open enrollment. Ensures effective and accurate administration of employee records, including but not limited to training, benefits, workers compensation, pay changes, employee transfers, job titles, performance evaluations, and general employee information, both in employee files, and related employee database systems. Establishes and administers programs and procedures to maintain/improve employee morale and productivity. Responsible for Environmental, Health, & Safety for the group office location. Ensures compliance to audit standards, conducts annual audits, establishes and develops written policies, procedures and standards, reviewing and updating annually to ensure compliance to related legislation and Mirrors/Magna policy. Maintains strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department. Stays up to date on legislation to ensure compliance. Maintains a professional customer service-oriented manner within the company and supports the corporate image as per Human Resources departmental objectives and company policies. Follows and models safe working practices and promotes safety in the workplace. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; or equivalent. Master's degree and/or other HR certification(s) preferred Ten years of diverse professional and managerial experience including financial/budget responsibility, managerial leadership, and strategic decision making Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Strong problem solving and decision making skills Robust knowledge of negotiation and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical ability Ability to confront issues directly and hold others accountable Strong leadership skills, able to lead by example Self-motivated; ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to develop and motivate employees to achieve goals and influence change Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Capable of performing under pressure and with short completion times on projects Sound knowledge of employment and OSHA legislation Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, ability to address a variety of audiences
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
HR ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
