Summary:
Manages, directs, and administers the operations and business development efforts of the credit union branch office that offers a full range of services to current and potential members.
Responsible for all operations, policies, procedures and employees in the branch.
KEY JOB
Responsibilities:
Coordinates deposit, lending and member services functions in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Vice President of Branch Operations.
Works directly with members and representatives of associated industries (i.
e.
, SEG's) to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.
Develops plans and schedules for the efficient use of materials, machines, technological equipment and employees resulting in outstanding service-delivery.
Reviews production costs and processes related to depositing, lending, transaction accounts as well as product quality, and modifies production and service delivery control to maintain and enhance profitable operation of branch.
Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales program to develop new markets.
Directs preparation of appropriate branch accounting records.
Recommends budgets to management relative to the physical, human resource, and other costs of the branch operation.
Evaluates work of team members', conducts performance appraisals, recommends promotions, reassignments, recommendations for hiring of new team members, and related personnel functions.
Provides training and assistance to team members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of member services.
Becomes/is an advocate of the Michigan First culture, supporting diversity, philosophy and other credit union initiatives.
Fosters a positive image of Michigan First via professional representation in all contacts and complies with all of Michigan First's mission and vision goals.
Reflects each of the credit union's Isms in daily job performance.
Ensures that the branch image is favorable, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employs prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members, including privacy, confidentiality, and ease of use.
LEADERSHIP
Responsibilities:
Has overall leadership responsibility for all team members at the branch, including those that manage team members in the teller/FSR areas; Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their designated team.

The Branch Manager is expected to attain branch goals in savings, lending, account relationships, transactions, and profitability.
Productivity standards are determined from time to time to reflect the traffic, volume and market opportunities for the branch.
Must adhere to the member service standards as set forth by the credit union.
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; plus three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of team leaders, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be certified as a Notary Public for the purpose of verifying signatures, executing documents and obtaining information.
Ability to operate a PC to access the credit union's accounting system and member account information.
Basic input, output, error correction, general ledger account structure knowledge essential to be able to perform the job.
Ability to operate a personal computer to perform simple accounting tasks such as account reconciliation, access the Federal Reserve Account and the Corporate Credit Union account.
Some spreadsheet application knowledge desirable, but not absolutely essential.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
