Summary:
Field Technicians travel to construction project sites to perform Quality Assurance testing of construction materials.
Upon accurate completion of the tests, the results are documented and communicated to client field representatives.
Reports are then submitted for review and processing.
With guidance from the Project Manager, the Field Technician will assist with deficiency resolution.
Responsibilities:
Perform soil, concrete, asphalt and masonry testing.
Complete daily report of observation and accurately record test results.
Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications.
Professional communication with client representatives (supervisor, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.
) at project sites.
Recording and communication to the project supervisor and client any deviations from the specifications.
Proper maintenance of equipment.
Perform other duties or functions as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School degree required; Associates or Bachelor degree with a science focus helpful.
Ability to travel and stay overnight for nonlocal projects when necessary.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Must pass drug screen, physical and background check.
Ability to coordinate individual aspects of projects.
Effective communication skills.
High ethical standards.
Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work environment primarily at construction sites with the possibility of challenging terrain and outdoor weather conditions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
