Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, overhaul, calibrating, and repair of technically moderately complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic avionics instruments using available documentation, repair manuals, schematic diagrams, technical publications, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
Essential Functions:
Technician is responsible testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics.
You will work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures.
Diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment, i.
e.
, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
Utilize methodical and logical reasoning processes to resolve complex technical issues.
Provide input for process improvements and development of top-level test procedures.
Develop subassembly test procedures as needed.
Construct, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment we use to support RF testing/tuning.
Identify any discrepancies within testing.
Collaborate with all functional groups on various projects.
Maintain accurate records, fill out logs accurately, and explain defects found-clearly and concisely.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
2 years test experience in aerospace, military, and/or communications satellite hardware production.
2 years' experience performing tuning and troubleshooting 2 years troubleshooting Digital circuits to the component level.
IPC A610 or JST 001 Certification or the ability to pass the ESD certification, IPC A610 and JSTD 001.
Electronics certificate or formal training especially relative to RF testing and theory.
Preferred Additional Skills:
AA Degree in electronics or equivalent technical degree Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope.
Experience with environmental testing and monitoring of product Working knowledge of statistical process control as applied to related assembly, inspection, and test processes Working knowledge of electronic theory relating to RF transmission, receivers' circuits, analog and digital circuitry.
