The company is seeking to hire a General Accountant to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks including but not limited to, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, be comfortable with NetSuite and other accounting software, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM EST.
Role Responsibilities Support month-end and year-end closing procedures for A/R, A/P and Inventory Calculate and record adjusting entries, including depreciation, amortization, and other accruals as needed Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements and other financial records Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.
g.
, ASC 606) Perform detailed reviews of revenue and expense transactions to ensure proper classification and recognition in the financial statements Ensure compliance with sales tax laws and regulations, including accurate calculation, collection, reporting, and timely filing of sales tax returns for all applicable jurisdictions Prepare various ad-hoc financial reports for management and other stakeholders Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights on financial performance, revenue trends, and cost drivers Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Provide support and assistance during internal and external audits Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook) Analytical and critical thinker Detail-oriented and organized Preferred, but not required:
