We are hiring immediately for our grand opening in November 2023.
The Assistant General Manger ensures all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.
The Assistant GM responsibilities include supporting and working in both the front and the back of house, ordering kitchen supplies, managing vendors, processing payroll, and supervising/managing restaurant staff performance.
To be successful in this role, the Assistant GM should be familiar with restaurant operations, able to minimize operating costs while maintaining high quality, boost employee retention, and be available to work within restaurant hours, including weekends and holidays.
Assistant GMs should also have an excellent understanding of what it takes to provide great customer service and know how to deliver a positive dining experience for Anna's House guests.
The Restaurant Assistant General Manager assists the Restaurant General Manager in the management of the restaurant to brand standards in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
The Assistant GM manages operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Anna's House.
The Restaurant AGM also trains and develops Team Members to meet performance standards and shares responsibility for the achievement of designated guest, profit, sales, and P&L targets.
Responsibilities Supports leading the day-to-day restaurant operations Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance, as needed Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the restaurant exceeds standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness Prepare shift schedules Process payroll for all restaurant staff Calculate future needs in food, kitchenware, and equipment, and place orders, as needed Monitor and understand daily, weekly, and monthly costs and revenue Assists in managing store vendors and invoices Work with management personnel to set targets and incentives to increase profitability of restaurant Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement Assist General Manager by providing coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis Support new employees' proper onboarding (scheduling, trainings, and ordering uniforms) Gather guests' feedback and recommend improvements to our menus and service Perform other related duties as assigned RequirementsEducation High school diploma required Certification in hospitality is a plus Experience Experience as a Restaurant supervisor, manager, or similar role in the hospitality industry Familiarity with restaurant management software preferred Skills Able to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment and high-temperature kitchen Able to follow directions and delegate duties as needed Good math and reporting skills Excellent customer service abilities Excellent communication and attention to detail Working Environment Ability to stand exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods Ability to bend, stoop, and lift frequently Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 20 pounds at a time Available to work in shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and/or mid afternoon Benefits $17 - $21 per hour Excellent working hours No Night Shifts Schedule typically 5 days a week Full-time positions eligible for health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, and College Tuition Discounts Future growth opportunities Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Calculations Communication Customer Service Hospitality Industry Managing Suppliers Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
