Your service and care of vehicles provides customers transportation for their everyday living and this role is very important to build customer loyalty as we complete many oil changes and tire services daily.
Community Automotive Repair started in 1975 and customers have come to rely on us for their vehicle repairs and maintenance.
You can expect to complete oil changes and mount and balance tires on imports like Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Mini, Land Rover, BMW, Porsche, and more.

Primary Responsibilities This position spends most of the time completing oil changes, installing tires, completing alignments, and other basic repairs for vehicles based on their level of experience.
Organizes and tracks our tire inventory.
Customer service oriented, focus on customer and vehicle service/repair.
Identify, diagnose, and repair customer vehicles.
Identify safety concerns, progressive damage, or maintenance items a vehicle may need now or soon.
Utilize your experience, expertise, and equipment to deliver what was sold with the highest level of quality, integrity, and workmanship.
Log hours and track time on vehicles per our operating system.
Report tools, equipment, or facilities in need of repair or maintenance.
Skills and Knowledge:
A very good working knowledge or experience working in the automotive repair industry.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience in lube and tire services, tech school related to automotive repair or specific technician certificates.
ASE Certified, helpful but not required.
Technical aptitude with the ability to find root cause of problems and recommend solutions for service.
Able to recommend and complete oil changes, tire related repairs and installs, and alignments, along with other basic repairs.
General computer use and electronic maintenance logs.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Driver's License, clean record for insurability purposes.
Able to lift 70 lbs.
and buddy lift beyond that.
Able to effectively diagnose and repair vehicles based on certification and experience.
Basic tools are provided for this position.
Technicians stock their own tools based on their needs.
Schedule:
5 day work week, 7:
30am - 5:
00pm NO Saturdays or Sundays; we prioritize great pay without cutting into family or personal time.
