The primary purpose of the position is to support residents in a manner that demonstrates compassion and values their unique interests and abilities.
Responsibilities Assists residents with activities of daily living in accordance with their service plan.
Assists residents with medications and treatments as instructed.
Measures and records vitals as instructed.
Assists with dining, laundry services, and housekeeping services, and maintains a safe, secure, and sanitary environment.
Encourages, initiates, and supports residents with meaningful engagement based on known preferences and lifelong patterns.
Assists residents with orientation and structure throughout the day, as necessary.
Informs nurse of any changes in condition and/or other health related information.
Promotes and maintains the confidentiality, dignity, autonomy, and value of every resident.
Orients new employees as requested.
Qualifications Must possess, as a minimum, a high-school education or equivalent.
Must possess the appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population.
