hours / week) 1st Shift:
7AM - 3PM / Monday - Friday On Call 24/7 - Respond to Officer's calling for guidance or call-offs Flexibility to schedule yourself 2nd Shift for larger events.
LOCATION:
DeVos Place - Grand Rapids, MI PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
As a Security Site Supervisor for DK Security your duties include supervision and leadership of approximately 12-15 assigned Uniform Security Officers.
We provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is a working-Supervisor type role where your shifts would be performing the duties of an Officer in addition to your supervisory responsibilities.
Some of the responsibilities would include:
Training - Train and coach officers in the duties required at this site.
Scheduling - Schedule Officers for 24/7 coverage of the site and ensure all shifts are properly filled.
Coverage - Communicate with team and on-call officers to fill any call-offs.
The supervisor would go in if no other coverage found.
Foot Patrol - Monitor and patrol the interior of the building.
Keep an eye out for security, safety, and maintenance issues.
Camera Monitoring - Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns.
SUCCESS as a Security Site Supervisor at DK Security will look like:
Reliability - Report for your shift on time, ensure full coverage of staff, submit documentation in a timely manner.
Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and coaching/disciplining your Officers.
Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years No other major violations in the last 3 years.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
