Position
Summary:
:
Operations Supervisors are responsible for supervising the day-to-day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, packing, etc.
Operations Supervisors assign work to operations associates, Leads, and Trainers, and supervise their productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Minimum
Qualifications:
:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting 1 year of leadership experience.
Could include experience as Trainer or Lead Preferred
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting 3 years of supervisory experience
Essential Functions:
:
Operational
Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s).
Work with operations Leads to coordinate day-to-day scheduling of associates based on resources, volume, etc.
Work cross-functionally with other departments as it relates to the distribution center operations and ensure prompt and timely resolution of any issues.
Analyze and report to the Operations Managers and Directors the efficiency of the assigned area(s) and identify areas of improvement.
Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Ensure compliance with distribution procedures and governmental regulations (i.
e.
, safety, sanitation, etc.
) and promote and reinforce safety and security awareness; Oversee and ensure the cleanliness of the work environment; Ensure proper maintenance of and report any issues related to equipment; and Report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries and participate in any investigations as required.
Ensure team Lead is properly training associates or delegating training to a Trainer; assist with training team on changes in processes and procedures.
Schedule and assign work to operations associates to complete orders in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and a safe work environment.
May be asked to flex area of responsibility/coverage (i.
e.

Saturdays, Holidays, other departments, etc.
) Staffing
Responsibilities:
Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.
Ensure team Lead is properly training associates or delegate training to Trainer.
Coordinate and lead pre-shift meetings and ensure timely communication with associates on various topics (i.
e.
, distribution procedures, safety, human resources programs, etc.
) Ensure compliance with FMLA and ADA requirements as needed.
Payroll & Finance
Responsibilities:
Maintain time and attendance of all assigned operations associates in JDA and Bluescreen on a daily basis.
Responsible for scheduling of associates and managing attendance policy.
Plan and schedule activities to control costs on labor and supplies.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
:
Strong interpersonal communication, leadership, and training skills.
Must have ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience working with ADP, JDA/WFMR, LifeWorks, Blue Screen, and Tableau.
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
Must be able to multi-task and follow through to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work with all levels of management and operations associates.

The associate must be willing to work extended hours when needed, including weekends.
