Summary:
This individual will be responsible for quality assurance of new and existing programs at all manufacturing stages. You will focus on the quality of products to ensure production meets engineering drawings and specifications. You will strive for goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery within an ISO-9001 certified quality management system. This
position
will also assist the Quality
manager
in overall quality system development.
Responsibilities:
Provide problem solving support to manufacturing and our customers.
Perform on-site analysis of quality-related issues; lead/perform product containment activities and arrange for disposition.
Lead problem-solving teams; use of QA methodologies to determine root cause(s) and the development, implementation and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions.
Assist the Quality Manager in the development and improvement of the Quality Management System.
Work closely with Program/Quality Engineers in the design of QA best practices during new product launch, including the development of new gauging, workmanship standards, and work instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards. .
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience required; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Strong problem solving skills
Strong blueprint interpretation skills
Thorough understanding of QA methodologies and systems
Experience under an ISO/TS certified quality management system
Adept in the use of a variety of quality measuring devices.
Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
GD&T knowledge preferred.
5S/Lean manufacturing
ERP/MRP system
Engineering or Quality related degree preferred, but not required.
Quality Certification (CQA, CQE, CQM) preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
