Summary:
Proos Manufacturing has retained Management Business Solutions (MBS) as a collaborative partner to manage the applicant screening process. We have aligned our recruiting processes to identify, attract, and screen candidates for their 3rd shift Production Supervisor position. Hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays, with a minimum of 45 hours per week. The Production Supervisor reports to Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
Management Duties:
Schedule production equipment and manpower based on job costing
Interview, hire, coach, counsel, and evaluate employees
Conflict resolution and problem solving for customer dissatisfaction and/or shipment delays as needed
Lead a team to meet deadlines and customer needs
Help support policies, procedures, and process improvement
Ability to work with other departments for the benefit of quality production
Problem solve and trouble shoot quality issues
Manufacturing Duties:
Ability to utilize resources to meet manufacturing needs
Follow system to create production schedules
Maintain proper techniques for production and set up that follows MiOSHA guidelines
Assure consistent manufacturing of Quality product
Follow process for product returned from customer
Assess product is to be rework or scrapped
Entry of daily time slips
Process Job orders and verification of job order data
Required:
Minimum 2-3 years of Leadership Experience in Manufacturing company
3-5 years sheet metal fabrication environment experience required
strong background in press safety procedures, stamping press operations, CNC brakes, preventive maintenance, and quality inspection
Familiarity with MiOSHA guidelines regarding proper techniques for production and set up
Strong leadership skills required
Organizational and time management skills required
Provide a work environment that supports positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees required.
Strong technical ability required strong familiarity with Bill of Materials, ability to learn new equipment and train others on its operation
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Attention to detail
Preferred:
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles preferred.
Experience with plastics and assembly
