Summary:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking an Application Developer Team Lead for a client in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a great opportunity to join a growing organization whose application development teams build industry-leading software. The Application Developer Team Lead will lead a team developing and support a platform of web and mobile applications, services, and integrations, as well as Platform as a Service (PaaS).
Responsibilities:
Manage the daily work of an application development team
Architect, design, and develop software applications
Manage overall platform roadmap, including estimated delivery timelines and progress reports
Mentor team on good object oriented designs, patterns, and domain modeling
Collaborate with external agencies on design and development as needed
Cultivate technical backlog with other team leads to upgrade platform continuously
Analyze and remediate production issues
Build in fault tolerance and operational readiness into the system architecture with a focus on operationally ready solutions
Own non-functional requirements, architectural direction, quality of the code, and addressing technical debt
Qualifications:
8
years of related experience
Experience with Agile Methodologies (i.e. XP and Scrum)
Experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of enterprise .NET applications and web applications
Understanding of scalability and high availability systems
Experience in operations and managing live production applications, monitoring, remediation, and incident management
Strong knowledge in, and ability to mentor team on, OO design including design patterns, TDD, continuous integration, and test automation
Experience managing multiple teams and geographically distributed teams
