Job Description
Dematic has an immediate need for a EHS&S Manager North America at our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. EHS Manager is an integral member of the facility management team and has an impact on the profitability of the organization through contributions in Environmental, Health and Safety management. EHS&S Manager North America is responsible for partnering with customers within the facility to help them achieve business objectives through the effective environmental, health and safety management and adherence to/support of associated systems and processes.
Key areas of responsibility:
Promote compliance with Federal, State, Local and Dematic EHS policies, regulations and standards.
Evaluate and control risks to employees and the environment by tracking and measuring environmental attributes by developing and implementing waste reduction/pollution prevention projects.
Develop appropriate safety and environmental auditing tools and conducts audits as appropriate.
Develop/maintain Environmental Management system based on ISO 14001 requirements.
Develop and conduct training in all OSHA and EPA required areas to include: Hazard Communication, Container Labeling, General Safety Awareness, Supervisor/Manager/New Hire Training, Lockout/Tagout, Blood borne Pathogens, Confined Spaces, Emergency Preparedness, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Ergonomics, RECRA, TSCA, OSHA Haz-mat Responder, DOT Haz-mat Shipping.
Coordinate accident/injury investigations, conduct reporting and analysis and manage associated worker's comp cases/claims/costs to avoid claim initiation, minimize financial impact of claims, reviewing medical case management, monitoring return to work program.
Compile data and develop reports for Federal, State, Local and Corporate entities, including OSHA 300/301, Workers Comp, Hazardous waste reports, waste water reports and contact before OSHA, EPA, Water Commission, state and local agencies.
Manage following components of Health and Safety program: Policies and procedures, Hazard Communication Program, Hazard Assessments, Container Labeling, MSDS, Confined Space, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Lock-out/Tag-out, Blood borne Pathogens, Emergency Preparedness and Ergonomics Surveys and Screening. Facilitates the local Safety Team, including response to employee concerns, communication on safety issues and managing completion of corrective action items.
Coordinates/Manages other EHS programs in the following areas:
Occupational Health programs.
Voluntary CPR/First Aid/Fire Brigade Training
Loss prevention services/ industrial hygiene studies.
Coordinate safety awareness posters and newsletter communications.
Conducts routine safety walks.
Responds to MOSH or OSHA on-site inspections.
Provides Direction to Facilities team on the strategic/tactical aspects of sustainability KPI's.
Champions EHS initiatives within facility to ensure employees and managers understand and implement the initiative.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineer.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with 3 years in a management role. 10 years of directly related experience is acceptable. Demonstrated communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Green Belt Certification is a plus.
Knowledgeable of Six Sigma tools and concepts are plusses.
Ability to always make a significant positive personal impact when communicating in writing and verbally.
Masters Degree is a plus.

Education:
Bachelors Degree or advanced degree.

Typically 5 years' experience with 3 years in a management role and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
