Quality Engineer 2
The Quality Engineer (Level Two) is responsible for the quality of software released to customers as well as work with the development team creating new products and enhancing existing products.
Performs technical support by providing level two response with existing clients to resolve technical issues via phone, email, online webcasts and/or conference calls.
Performs follow-up and ticket closure procedures with level one support team.
Manages technical support documentation and client database which includes an online ticket system, updating FAQ's, and client specific technical procedures.
Participates in cross-functional discussions to review the impact of application changes from both internal and external interfaces.
Applies deep knowledge of multiple complex applications and provides subject matter expertise to set direction and create test strategies and test plans for one or more releases of an application.
Works with application development teams to direct solution design to ensure testability of functions and applications.
Identifies opportunities for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and automation of test scripts.
Holds responsibility for significant interaction with internal team members and clients.
As necessary, communicates with project management to receive assignments for team.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
The Quality Engineer II has between three and five years of software QA and/or technical related work experience.
Testing of web based applications
Creating test plans and test scripts
Performance, integration, and regression testing
SQL
Supply Chain Management Software
Network concepts (TCPIP, Client Server environments)
Issue & Bug Tracking tools:
JIRA (or similar)
Experience in Agile Development
Testing REST-based API
Test Automation
Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel may be required
