In this position, you will serve as registrar of the Gerald R.Ford Presidential Museum. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Under the general supervision of the Museum Curator and Library Director, ensure that the proper procedures are followed with regard to the care, registration, and documentation of the collections. Oversee the accessioning and cataloging the collections, maintaining manual and automated collections inventories and file systems. Oversee the photography and organization of photographic records and other related reference files and indexes. Manage the proper conservation, preservation and restoration of collections where assigned. Determine when objects are in need of care and work with conservators to assure that proper procedures are followed. House and store objects and ensure that proper storage is maintained. Develop and implement improvements in utilizing space, identify needs, and seek solutions for additional space and equipment. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Conducting collections-based research and management as it pertains to proper care, registration and documentation of objects and records; AND - Supporting exhibits and presentations for museum collections; AND - Providing oral or written response to public inquires. For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Conducting collections-based research and management as it pertains to proper care, registration and documentation of objects and records; AND - Providing oral or written response to public inquires. OR 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's or equivalent graduate degree related to the position; (Related fields of study include art, history, museum studies, scientific subjects, or other courses related to the position to be filled.) OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
