Law Enforcement Coordination Specialist

Typical duties will include:
building partnerships with law enforcement and non-law enforcement organizations alike to accomplish U.S. Attorney's Office objectives; promoting community engagement with law enforcement and coordination and communication among law enforcement agencies; raising awareness and understanding of Department of Justice initiatives, strategies, programs, resources and accomplishments; providing important public service information; and developing, organizing and overseeing training programs for federal, state, local and Tribal law enforcement agencies. The incumbent's responsibilities include serving as the primary media contact, planning and coordinating press events, communicating with the professional media and disseminating information to public audiences. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. GS-09:
To be eligible at the GS-09 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below:
Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience. Specialized
Experience:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as organizing, administering or overseeing communication, engagement or partnership development among law enforcement agencies and/or non-law enforcement entities. Qualifying experience involves the following types of duties:
building partnerships with law enforcement and/or non-law enforcement organizations, leaders and representatives, developing and overseeing training programs for federal, state, local and Tribal law enforcement agencies, and/or serving as the primary point of contact for public information and communicating in person and in writing with professional media, and planning and coordinating press events. Education:
One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice):
a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
