The Learning Facilitator II for Health, Safety, and Environmental Training is responsible for training provided to Consumers Energy employees, virtually and in person.
The individual in this position will actively participate in the learning community to increase consistency in Consumers Energy training practices and increase the effectiveness of the learning function.
The HSE Instructor will proactively manage internal resources and creatively plan and execute training events within Consumers Energy that reflect and balance the priorities and resources of the company.


Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for presentation, analysis, and evaluation of Health, Safety and Environmental training.
Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel and consult with plant/field organizations on training needs or operating concerns and model expected behaviors to employees.
Must be willing to travel and train at various company locations with overnight stays.
Must be comfortable in an environment where continuous innovation and improvement is the norm.
A strong commitment to the goals of the team along with an energetic and upbeat attitude is essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in applicable field of study, less than a bachelor s degree may be acceptable if accompanied by experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance
  • Excellent facilitation and classroom management skills with 2-4 years of experience in an instructor role with demonstrated results in classroom delivery

Essential Functions

Delivers training programs in classrooms, via electronic learning and/or in class instruction.
Designs and develops course material including program evaluations, objectives, and training aids.
Presents development and/or training concepts to management for review and approval.
Maintain current knowledge of workplace diversity issues, EEO, sexual harassment, and ADA regulations, laws, and policies.
Uses a variety of computer programs in presenting training materials.

These skills will set you apart from the rest:

  • Experience in in Health, Safety, and Environmental fields including OSHA/MIOSHA and other state and federal requirements and regulatory compliance
  • Experience as a certified teacher
  • Fire safety, medical training or hazardous materials experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of web-based management resources such as Success Factors or other Learning Management Systems
  • Experience with SAP

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
